The Economist Reimagined

The Economist is an international news magazine offering authoritative insight and opinion on international news, politics, business, finance, science, technology, and the connections between them. The Economist was started in 1843 in London. It has a very particular layout in line with the voice of the magazine which is designed to read as though all the articles were written by the same person. The target market for the Economist is highly educated and cultured readers.

Design Direction

The objective of this redesign was to appeal to young, highly educated, and cultured readers while retaining a certain look and feel embodied in the current layout. (This was a school project.)
